Participating business owners agree to accept Toronto Dollars for services or merchandise and wherever possible to spend them with other participating businesses or organizations. Any unused Toronto Dollars can be redeemed at the main outlets at a rate of 90 cents Canadian for each Toronto Dollar.

Any business which accepts Toronto Dollars should have the sign shown above, or another like it somewhere on their premises, so customers can see it.

Toronto Dollars are distributed by participating organizations that agree to obtain Toronto Dollars on an ongoing basis and to exchange them with individuals for Canadian dollars. Organizations receive 10 percent of the exchange for the purpose of creating employment for people with low income or for other appropriate community purposes.

Participating businesses are asked to complete a registration form. You can contact us and we can mail you one, you can download a registration form at left, print it and mail it to us, or you can Register your Business on-line.
