Elaine Hall Award for Outstanding Caring Service

Honouring volunteers in the caring services, The Elaine Hall Award was founded in 2000 as a Toronto Dollar Initiative. Each year three recipients are chosen to receive the award. Presentations are at the Toronto Dollar Party, this year the party was held April 4 at the St Lawrence Market (Jarvis and Front Street in Toronto). See photos from this event here.

The Frankly Bob Arts Awards

The Neighbourhood Innovations Fund in partnership with the Toronto Dollar presents the Frankly Bob Arts Awards. These Awards for excellence in the visual and literary arts for people surviving long term poverty were held at the annual Toronto Dollar Party at the St. Lawrence Market.

The Writers' Union at the Toronto Dollar party, April 4, 6:30 to 9:30, St. Lawrence Market

Book collectors, lovers of Canadian literature and the literati will find much to interest them at the Writers' Union of Canada's silent auction being held at the Toronto Dollar party, April 4, 2002, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The annual celebration is held in conjunction with the St. Lawrence Market's customer appreciation event at Front and Jarvis and is attended by thousands who come to partake of the free food, entertainment and the opportunity to network with the many community agencies and organizations that benefit from the Toronto Dollar. Adam Vaughan of City TV is the evening's Master of Ceremonies.
